I don't know 7 other bloggers to pass this on to. Anyway, here's my attempt:
from spen78
‘List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now, shaping your spring. Post these instructions in your blog along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they’re listening to’.
1. Gallhammer - Endless Nauseous Days (from Gloomy Nights)
Lovely intro featuring throat noises like in that scary film - the grudge i think. All-girl black/doom metal from Japan. Like a satanic Babes in Toyland. Might as well put them next.
2. Babes in Toyland - Quiet Room (from To Mother)
Think this is jus Kat Bjelland solo instrumental. Used to have a crush on her. Loved the tunes before I ever saw/met the band though.
3. Jeffrey Lewis - Do they owe us (from 12 Crass Songs)
"Do they owe us a living? Of course they fucking do!"
Could have picked anything off this great great album.
My most hummed song at work. closely followed by...
4. The Fall - Cary Grant's Wedding (from Totale's Turns (It's Now or Never))
"Cary Grant's Wedddddding!!"
5. Hinojosa & Zambrano - Suave (from the god-forsaken land of suggestive europap)
"lo quiero que todas me coman la..."
Electrohouse ode to fellatio.
6. Tego Calderón - Alegria (from El Abayarde Contraataca)
Goldfinger sampling latin rap from the genre spanning Puerto Rican fro wearing dood. My Spanish isn't quite up to following all the lyrics. Can't really compare him to many in US rap as he covers so many styles.
7. Res Band - Glass Trees (from their myspace)
Some blokes I go to the pub with... "All music and lyrics improvised and recorded live on to 4 track."
