it appears i'm not the only one of this opinion


i don't have the 'pleasure' of hearing her show very often, but when i do she invariably bigs up some awful record using the phrase "goose-bumps" or "hairs stand on end". usually with reference to some toss by embrace or similar dull mediocre rubbish.
of course she's not alone in having a different opinion to me of what is a good tune...
but she manages to be one of the most annoying.

This was the world's idea of an English party, with beautiful people gathered around on the patio and lawns, sipping champagne and nibbling unknown whatnots. Jane's cousin sang to an electric keyboard backing and occasionally others would join in, including a very camp waiter who, although black, did not know the words to 'Ole Man River'. Later I found out why when he sang 'Big Spender' and his voice was higher than Shirley MacLaine's. Croquet, Throwing the Wellie, Cricket and chat were the order of the day and when we left at about 7.30 they were moving into the ballroom for dancing.
